President’s Message

Looking Back at 2025…Looking Ahead to 2026

At the start of a new year, we all tend to look back at where we have been and where we hope to go. When I look back upon 2025 at Diverse Janitorial, I see a year of tremendous growth for our company. We met some major milestones including new contracts, successful projects and safety & compliance wins.

Looking Back at 2025

In 2025 we partnered with general contractors both new to us and ones that we have had a long relationship with. Some of the contractors we worked with included: Balfour Beatty, C.W. Driver, Hensel Phelps, PCL Construction, Rudolph & Sletten, SPEC Construction, Swinerton, Turner Construction and W.E. O’Neil. I am very proud of the services we provide and am very grateful to all the general contractors who trusted us with their project needs in 2025.

In out last issue we highlighted our completed project at San Diego Airport, and later in this newsletter we will be highlighting three more projects that were completed in 2025. Overall, 2025 saw us providing final clean services to venues like Dodger Stadium, two Airports, Crypto Arena, multiple schools & colleges and even a few prisons.

We also focused on safety this year. The end of the year saw the completion of a new safety manual that included a strengthened Injury & Illness plan and some new additions including an Anti-Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy and a new Code of Conveyor Belt Safety. All our proactive planning facilitated us completing another perfect OSHA 300A with no recorded cases. Our commitment to safety is one thing that sets Diverse Janitorial apart.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Our priorities for 2026 include expansion and excellence through continued customer focused service. As we shared in our last newsletter we are optimistic about our new services, including Contract Janitorial services, and our continuing marketing efforts. We also look forward to forging new partnerships and reaffirming our dedication to quality, safety, and people-first values. I hope that you will continue to join us on this journey. I wish everyone success, health, and fulfillment in 2026.

Warmly,

Roland Cordero, President

A Look Back at 2025: Completed Projects

Diverse Janitorial is celebrating the completion of our most successful year to date, and three projects that helped us achieve this success in 2025 were SWC ICI with Rudolph and Sletten, SWC Student Union with Balfour Beatty and the Dodger Clubhouse Renovation with PCL Construction.

SWC Instructional Complex 1 Overview

The Southwestern College (SWC) Instructional Complex 1 project included new classroom space and faculty spaces. The project incorporates 10 two-story concrete tilt-up buildings divided into four groups lending to a unique look. The buildings are connected from the second level by walkways. The highlight of the project is the planetarium; a new, state-of-the-art addition featuring full-color, programmable ChromaCove LED cove lighting system, and a robust multi-channel sound system. The new SWC planetarium replaces the one built in 1967 and brings a whole new universe of possibility for public shows, educational programs, and offers a unique space for exploring the cosmos. Construction began in July of 2022 and Diverse Janitorial completed our part in preparing the building for occupancy in May of 2025.

Diverse Janitorial contracted with Rudolph and Sletten construction team to complete work for the Southwestern Community College District (SWCCD). Diverse Janitorial successfully completed a rough clean, roof clean, exterior building wash, window cleaning, site cleaning and final cleaning.

SWC Student Union Overview

The SWC Student Union Project at Southwestern College was a major campus renovation, highlighting a newly opened hub for student life. The student union is the heart of campus offering a range of activities and spaces for students to gather, socialize, and interact with their peers. Balancing several small private spaces with larger flexible spaces the building supports student and campus programs, dining, study spots, a bookstore, offices, culinary arts space, veteran resource center, wellness center, and outdoor plazas with gardens that take advantage of Chula Vista’s pleasant climate by connecting indoor spaces with outdoor terraces and patios.

Diverse Janitorial contracted with the Balfour Beatty construction team to complete work for the Southwestern Community College District (SWCCD). Diverse Janitorial successfully completed a rough clean, roof clean, exterior building wash, window cleaning, site cleaning and final cleaning.

Dodger Clubhouse Overview

After winning the 2024 World series, the owners of Dodger Stadium started work on the Dodger Clubhouse Renovation that was completed in the offseason. Construction began literally the day after their championship parade in November and continued right up to the Preseason Freeway series in March. Diverse Janitorial was proud to be the Final Clean contractor for this notable upgrade

to the third oldest Major League Baseball stadium which opened in 1962. The new extensive three-story structure resides underneath Dodger Stadium’s field level and stretches from behind the third-base dugout to the left-field foul pole. Features include an elaborate clubhouse for the home-team, common areas, an extra batting cage, expanded weight, training, food facilities, meeting rooms, and relaxation spaces.

Diverse Janitorial contracted with PCL Construction to complete work for Los Angeles Dodgers. To work with the quick turnaround for the project, Diverse Janitorial worked 7 days a week to complete a rough clean, site cleaning and final cleaning.
